By Theodore Jason Patrick K. Ortiz AN ATTEMPTED holdup by an alleged riding in tandem on an African businessman resulted to a shooting incident in Las Piñas City around 7:45 p.m. tonight. Chief Tanod of Pulanglupa Dos Las Piñas City Joselito Panotes told the Echo Today that it was the first time for Prince Olajedi, the businessman, to encounter such an incident. Olajedi, a resident of Royale Estates in Naga Rd., Las Piñas owned a local pawnshop in the vicinity. He was, however, unavailable to comment on the incident.
Olajedi was seen with a bandaged left ring finger that was reported to have been wounded because of the shattered windows of his black Honda CV-R Cruiser. Local police officers and investigators discovered 12 pieces of 9mm slugs in the crime scene. Broken glass windows and a hammer were also found on the floor not too far from the crime scene. Panotes added that the riding in tandem was unlikely to be caught since all the CCTVs in the area were all busted. Residents told the Echo Today that they heard gun shots in the area but were too afraid to react. A balut vendor who refused to give her name said she saw the alleged riding in tandem rob the businessman. She refused to give further details on the incident. The police have yet to issue a statement regarding the incident. E
