Dela Cruz The Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons knocked down the National University (NU) Bulldogs with a 13-point lead at 64-51, to take the second seat after a back-to-back win in the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena, Wednesday. The heroics of Kristian Bernardo turned the tables for the Adamson as he fired seven points in the 9-4 run that turned a one-point deficit into a 53-49 advantage. With 2:17 remaining, Bulldog’s Alfred Aroga penetrated inside, 51-53, before delivering an 11-0 blitz.
Papi Sarr powered Adamson with 13 points and 17 rebounds despite being foul trouble. Jaydee Tungcab also posted 11 points off the bench. Aroga led the Bulldogs with 17 points and 13 rebounds. The Falcons gained a 3-1 standing; NU went to a 2-2 record.
