By Jan Carlo Anolin THE FAR Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws bounced back as they blew off University of the East, 67-59, in the UAAP Season 79 men’s basketball at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, Sunday. Monbert Arong grabbed 16 points while Axel Inigo added 12 for FEU. Raymar Jose made a huge performance after his 11 points and 22 rebounds. A disqualifying foul was called on Will Bartolome for striking an elbow on Ron Dennison twice, bothering UE’s momentum after Clark Derige’s clutch three-pointer, 62-59.
After the call, Trinidad swished both of his free throws with another possession on FEU as a Jose-Arong play connected, 66-59, with 1:05 left. Tamaraws pushed UE to a losing streak of 0-3 while they improve to a 2-2 record. Mark Olayon led the Red Warriors with 12 points and six rebounds.
